Power trunk drive unit(Trunk open)

A.
The trunk open switch operates. (Trunk outside handle switch, Crash pad switch, SMK trunk open button)
B.
The power trunk motor operates and motor gear rotates.
C.
The sector gear rotates.
D.
The drive arm connected to sector gear rotates.
E.
The push rod operates in the direction of the arrow.
F.
The end of the push rod pushes up the trunk.
2.
Power trunk drive unit(Trunk close)

A.
The trunk close switch operates.
B.
The power trunk motor operates and motor gear rotates.
C.
The sector gear rotates.
D.
The drive arm connected to the sector gear rotates.
E.
The push rod operates in the direction of the arrow.
F.
The end of the push rod pushes up the trunk.

    Removal     1) Put on gloves before removing/installing the drive unit. 2) Do not install or carry a push rod, controller and wire harnesses by holding it with bare hands .

    Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the recirculation position when connected in reverse.
