Hyundai Genesis: Trunk Lid / Trunk Lid Trim Repair procedures

Replacement

• Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

• When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. • Take care not to scratch the body surface.

1.	Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the trunk lid latch cover (A).

2.	Using a screwdriver, remove the trunk lid switch (A), and disconnect the connector.

3.	Remove the trunk lid weatherstrip.

4.	Disengage the luggage side trim.

5.	After removing the pin-type retainers, remove the trunk lid side cover (B) by separating the hook (A) from the trunk lid trim.

6.	After loosening the mounting screws, remove the trunk lid inside handle (A).

7.	After loosening the mounting screw and clips, remove the trunk lid trim (A).

8.	Install in the reverse order of removal. • Make sure the trunk lid opens or closes properly. • Replace any damaged clips.
