Turn the ignition switch OFF. |

Disconnect the mode control actuator connector. |
| 3. |
Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the defrost mode when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.
Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the vent mode when connected in reverse.

Connect the mode control actuator connector. |
| 5. |
Turn the ignition switch ON. |
| 6. |
Check the voltage between terminal 6 and 5.
Specification
Description The mode control actuator is located in the heater unit. It adjusts the position of the mode door by operating the mode control actuator based on the signal of the A/C control unit. Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the console temperature control actuator connector. 3. Verify that the console temperature control actuator operates to the defrost mode when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") 3. Remove the start/stop button (A) from the center fascia garnish after loosening the mounting clip. Hyundai Genesis (DH) 2013-2016 Service Manual: Blind Spot Detection Unit Repair proceduresRemoval 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the rear bumper. (Refer to Body - "Rear Bumper") 3. Remove the BSD unit (A) after loosening the mounting nuts. Take care not to separate the bracket from rear bumper when removing the BSD sensor. Categories
