Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait for at least 30 seconds. |

Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are aligned in a straight line. |

Remove the DAB module.
(Refer to Restraint - "Airbag Module") |

Disconnect the connector & lock bolt (A) and then remove the steering wheel by using special service tools (09561-11001).

Remove the steering column shroud.
(Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel") |

Remove the clock spring.

Install in the reverse order of removal. |
Inspection 1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. 2. Remove the crash pad side cover. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad") 3.
Adjustment Calibration (Setting up the zero angle) Steering Wheel Angle Sensor of an absolute angle type (CAN type) measures the angle under the standard of the zero angle set.
Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the trunk lid panel. (Refer to Body - "Trunk Lid Back Panel") 3. Remove the license lamp after disengaging the license lamp mounting clip (A) 4. Remove the license lamp assembly after disconnecting the license connector (A).
Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the auto defogging connector. 3. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the open position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the close position when connected in reverse.
