Hyundai Genesis: Rear Seat / Rear Seat Back Cover Repair procedures

Replacement
   
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
   
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1.
Remove the rear seat back assembly.
(Refer to Rear Seat - "Rear Seat Assembly")
2.
Remove the webbing guide cover (A) located on the inner side of rear seat.

   
? How to remove the outer hook

Release the hook by pushing the front (A) and rear (B) grooves until "click" sound is heard using an awl or pin.

3.
Push the pushpin (B) and remove the rear seat headrest (A).

4.
After loosening the mounting screws, remove the webbing guide cover (A) on the rear seat outer side.

   
? How to remove the inner hook
Release the hook by pushing the portion (A) until "click" sound is heard using an awl or pin.

Align the pin with the semicircular hole (A) on the lower guide.

Remove the inner cover by inserting the pin with slightly depressing the rear seat back pad in the direction of the arrow.

5.
Pull out the rear seat headrest guides (A) while pinching both sides of the lower part of the guides, and remove them.

   
?How to remove the headrest guide
Twist the headrest guide to pull it out.

   
Be careful not to damage the steel clip (B).

6.
Disconnect the rear curtain switch connector (A).
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Rear Curtain Switch")

7.
Remove the wiring mounting clips (A).

8.
After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the rear back armrest (A).

Tightening torque :
19.6 ~ 29.4 N.m (2.0 ~ 3.0 kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 21.7 lb-ft)

9.
After removing the hog-ring clips on the rear of seat back and remove the rear seat back cover (A).

[Front side]

10.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
   
After removing the hog-ring clips (A) inside the rear seat cushion cover, remove the rear seat cushion cover (B).
Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C) (09880-4F000).
