Description A spark plug is a device for delivering electric current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber of a spark-ignition engine to ignite the compressed fuel/air mixture therein by means of an electric spark, while containing combustion pressure within the engine.
Inspection [On vehicle inspection] 1. Accelerate the engine to about 3,000 rpm for 3 minutes or longer. 2. Remove the spark plug. 3. Check the spark plug visually.
Removal 1. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the driver crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") 3. Remove the start/stop button (A) from the center fascia garnish after loosening the mounting clip.
Replacement 1. Remove both stoppers (B) by turning them from the glove box (A). 2. Disconnect the air damper (A) from the glove box (B). 3. Remove the filter cover (A) by pressing the knob. 4. Replace the air filter (A) with a new one according to the direction of air filter.
