Removal 1. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported. 2. Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the rear hub.

Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the rear bumper. (Refer to Body - "Rear Bumper") 3. Remove the BSD unit (A) after loosening the mounting nuts. Take care not to separate the bracket from rear bumper when removing the BSD sensor.

Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the recirculation position when connected in reverse.
