Hyundai Genesis (DH): Power Trunk Module / Power Trunk Open/Close Switch Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting
Diagnosis And Testing - Power Trunk Lid System
The power trunk lid system is a complex system containing many components. In order to perform accurate testing, or receive outputs the power trunk lid control module must be checked.
The most reliable, efficient, and accurate means to diagnose the power trunk lid system requires the use of a scan tool and the proper Body Diagnostic Procedures manual. The scan tool can be used to observe current switch status recorded in the power trunk lid control module to help the technician diagnose an inoperative switch.
Before any testing of the power trunk lid system is attempted, the battery shall be fully charged, and the module shall recognize all limiting conditions of the system (Refer to power trunk lid system description for list).
Following is a diagnostic table for quick reference to help when diagnosing and testing the power trunk lid system.
