 | 
| 1. | Disconnect the Inhibitor switch connector. | 
| 2. | Turn the ignition key ON and the engine OFF. | 
| 3. | Measure voltage between supplied power and ground at inhibitor circuit. 
 | 
| 1. | Connect the Inhibitor switch connector.  | 
| 2. | Turn the ignition key ON and the engine OFF. | 
| 3. | Measure voltages between each terminal and chassis ground while the shift lever changes from P to R, N and D.

| Removal | 
| 1. | Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.  | 
| 2. | Disconnect the inhibitor connector (A) and then remove the shift cable by removing the nut (B). 
 | 
| 3. | Remove the manual control lever (B) after removing the nut (A).  | 
| 4. | Remove the inhibitor switch assembly after removing the bolts (C). 
 | 
| Installation | 
| 1. | Install the inhibitor switch.When installing, tighten the 
inhibitor assembly mounting bolts (A) loosely to allow any necessary 
adjustments to be made.  
 | 
| 2. | Install the manual control lever (A). | 
| 3. | Tighten the nut (B) to the specified torque.  
 | 
| 4. | Install the SST(09480-A3800) or 0.1969in.(5mm)bolt after setting manual control lever (A) in the "N". 
 | 
| 5. | Tighten the bolts (A) to the specified torque.  
 
 | 
| 6. | Remove the SST(09480-A3800) or 0.1969in.( 5mm) bolt.  | 
| 7. | Install the shift cable and tighten the mounting nut (A).  | 
| 8. | Connect the inhibitor switch connector (B). 
 
 
 | 
| 9. | Connect the negative (-) battery cable.  |
