Hyundai Genesis (DH): Panorama Sunroof / Panorama Sunroof Motor Repair procedures

Replacement
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the roof trim assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Roof Trim")
3.
Remove the panorama sunroof motor (A) after loosening the screws and disconnecting the connector.

4.
Remove the roller blind motor (A) after loosening the screws and disconnecting the connector.

Resetting the Panorama Sunroof
Whenever the vehicle battery is disconnected or discharged, or you use the emergency handle to operate the Panorama Sunroof, you have to reset your Panorama Sunroof system as follows :
   
You need to reset the sunroof motor to its default settings for the following cases :
-
The sunroof motor loses battery power temporarily because the battery or fuse is replaced or the battery has died.
-
The automatic opening or closing of the sunroof, a one-touch feature, does not function properly.
-
The sunroof reopens during automatic closing even if there is no object caught in the sunroof (safety feature)

With the ignition ON, completely close the glass and roller blind using the glass close switch.
2.
With both the glass and roller blind closed, release the glass close switch and press it again. Then the roller blind opens and the glass moves to the tilt up position.
3.
In the tilt up position, release and press the glass close switch within five seconds. After the five seconds, the glass opens and closes, and the sunroof initialization process is completed.
> During the initialization process, if the glass close switch is released and the sunroof stops moving, the initialization is not carried out completely and the process must restart.
Motor Overheating Prevention
To protect the panorama sunroof motor from overheating caused by continuous operation, the panorama sunroof control unit controls the Run-Time and Cool-Time.

    Inspection 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Open the sunglass case cover from the overhead console and remove the 2 screws holding the overhead console.
