When removing the fender, wrap protective tape around a screwdriver or remover not to damage components. |

Removing or installing the hood requires an assistant. |

After loosening the hood hinge (A) mounting bolts, remove the hood assembly (B).
Tightening torque :
21.6 ~ 26.5 N.m (2.2 ~ 2.7 kgf.m, 15.9 ~ 19.5 lb-ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the hood locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly. |

Adjust the hood as necessary. |

Inspection
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect the VIS valve connector.
3.
Measure resistance between the VIS valve terminals 1 and 2.
4.
Check that the resistance is within the specification.
