Hyundai Genesis (DH) 2013-2016 Service Manual / Engine Mechanical System / Timing System / Front Oil Seal Repair procedures

Removal
1.
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Pulley")
2.
Remove the timing chain cover oil seal (A).

Installation
1.
Using SST (09231-3C100), install timing chain cover oil seal.

   
Always use a new oil seal.
2.
Install the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Pulley")

    Components 1. Front oil seal

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the photo & auto light sensor. (Refer to Windshield Wiper/Washer - "Rain Sensor") Installation 1. Install the auto light sensor. 2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
