Description The stop lamp switch plays the role of supplying signals to turn on stop lamps and convenience devices (HECU, ECU, BCM, SML, etc.). The stop lamp switch is a system for drivers to express their intention to the brake by press the brake pedal.

Part diagnosis Items Cause Symptom RemedySwitch fuse Faulty fuse connection, Damaged fuse - DTC Code : P0504 - Symptom : Shifting gear trouble, Starting failure, Cruise control function cancelation trouble, EPB function cancelation trouble, Stop lamp lighting trouble, ESP OFF light illuminated.

Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the front bumper. (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Cover") 3. Disconnect the front fog lamp connector (A). 4. Remove the front fog lamp assembly (A) after loosening the mounting nut.
