Description
The stop lamp switch plays the role of supplying signals to turn on stop lamps and convenience devices (HECU, ECU, BCM, SML, etc.). The stop lamp switch is a system for drivers to express their intention to the brake by press the brake pedal.

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. After loosening the nuts (4EA) holding the rear combination lamp and disconnecting the connector (A), remove the outside rear combination lamp assembly. 3. Remove the bulb (A) after turning it in the counter clock-wise direction.

    Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch ON. 2. Connect the GDS. 3. Emit intensive light toward the photo sensor using a lamp, and check the output voltage change. 4. The voltage will rise with higher intensive light and fall with lower intensive light.
