Hyundai Genesis: Keyless Entry And Burglar Alarm / Repair procedures

Inspection
   
In case of working on the non-gloss timber trimming, special care shall be given to the following.
When removing with the screwdriver or remover, wrap the protective tape on the tools.
Be careful not to damage parts because the non-gloss timber trim is easily scratched or picked.
Use caution for the crash pad garnish and door trim upper garnish made of timber (Real wood) because they can be scratched or picked.
Front Door Lock Module Inspection
1.
Remove the front door trim.
(Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
2.
Remove the front door module.
(Refer to Body - "Front Door Module")
3.
Disconnect the connectors from the actuator.

Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground as shown below. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.

5.
Disconnect the power ajar switch connector from door lock actuator.

6.
Check for continuity between terminals in half latching condition as shown below.

7.
Perform the cinching reset procedure in case of faulty operation of the cinching of the power door latch (automatic full latching). (1) Cinching reset procedure is completed by "Remove power door fuse > Install power door fuse > IGN ON".

Rear Door Lock Module Inspection
1.
Remove the rear door trim.
(Refer to Body - "Rear Door Trim")
2.
Remove the rear door module.
(Refer to Body - "Rear Door Module")
3.
Disconnect the connectors from the actuator.

Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground as shown below. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.

5.
Disconnect the power ajar switch connector from door lock actuator.

6.
Check for continuity between terminals in half latching condition as shown below.

7.
Perform the cinching reset procedure in case of faulty operation of the cinching of the power door latch (automatic full latching). (1) Cinching reset procedure is completed by "Remove power door fuse > Install power door fuse > IGN ON".

Tailgate Lock Module Inspection
1.
Remove the tailgate trim.
(Refer to Body - "Trunk Lid Trim" )
2.
Disconnect the 6P connector from the actuator

3.
"Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground as shown below. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily."

4.
Refer to the power trunk module for checking the vehicle with power trunk option.
Trunk open switch
1.
Disconnect the battery(-) terminals.
2.
Remove the Read back panel
(Body - "Trunk Lid Back Panel" )
3.
Remove the Trunk lid trim
(Body - "Trunk Lid Trim" )
4.
Remove the trunk open switch assembly (A) after loosening the mounting clip.

5.
Disconnect the connector, remove the trunk open switch (A).
