Hyundai Genesis (DH) 2013-2016 Service Manual / Body (Interior and Exterior) / Rear Door / Rear Door Inside Handle Repair procedures

Replacement
1.
Remove the rear door trim.
(Refer to Rear Door - "Rear Door Trim")
2.
Remove the rear door side curtain.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Rear door side curtain")
3.
Disconnect the rear door inside handle lamp connector (A).
4.
After loosening the mounting screws, remove the rear door inside handle (B).

5.
Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the photo & auto light sensor. (Refer to Windshield Wiper/Washer - "Rain Sensor") Installation 1. Install the auto light sensor. 2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the auto defogging connector. 3. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the open position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the close position when connected in reverse.
