Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. |

Remove the lower crash pad.
(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad") |

Remove the knee airbag.
(Refer to Restraint - "Air Bag Module") |
| 4. |
Confirm the gap between stop lamp switch and bracket.

| 5. |
If the gap between stop lamp switch and bracket is less than
1.0~2.0mm(0.04~0.08in), check the mounting clip and other parts around
the stop lamp. |
| 6. |
If normal, remove the stop lamp switch and then install again. |

Analyze GDS data and check if there is anything wrong with the stop lamp switch.

Troubleshooting 1. Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the photo & auto light sensor. (Refer to Windshield Wiper/Washer - "Rain Sensor") Installation 1. Install the auto light sensor. 2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
