Description MDPS (Electric power steering, Column assist type) system uses an electric motor to assist the steering force and it is an engine operation independent steering system.
Replacement 1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds. 2. Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are placed in the straight ahead position.

Diagnosis With GDS 1. BSD system defects can be quickly diagnosed with the GDS. GDS operates actuator quickly to monitor, input/output value and self diagnosis. 2. Connect the cable of GDS to the data link connector in driver side crash pad lower panel, and turn on the GDS.
