Description
1.
Power latch lock flow

A.
When the trunk being open closes, the striker get locked.
B.
The CLAW rotates (1st step close).
C.
When the 1st step close is detected, the cinching cable starts rotating.
D.
The cinching lever starts operating.
E.
The CLAW rotates for the operation of the cinching lever. (2nd step close)
F.
Trunk is completely closed.
2.
Power latch unlock flow
(1) The operation principle of PTM unlock process is equal to that of the general trunk latch.
(2) The unlock process is completed by using the motor in the power latch.

    Component

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the trunk lid trim after opening the trunk. (Refer to Body - "Trunk Lid Trim") 3.

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the head up display bezel (A). 3. Remove the instrument cluster. (Refer to Indicators And Guages - "Instrument Cluster") 4. Remove the head up display unit bracket (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.

    Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the recirculation position when connected in reverse.
