Inspection
1.
Connect the GDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC).
2.
Measure the output voltage of the BPS at idle and with the ignition ON.
Specification: Refer to "Specification"
Removal
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
2.
Disconnect the barometric pressure sensor connector (A).
3.
Remove the installation bolt (B), and then remove the sensor from the air cleaner assembly.

Installation
   

    Description Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) is included inside Barometric Pressure Sensor and detects the intake air temperature. To calculate exact air quantity, correction of the air temperature is needed because air density varies according to the temperature.

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the rear bumper. (Refer to Body - "Rear Bumper") 3. Remove the BSD unit (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.     Take care not to separate the bracket from rear bumper when removing the BSD sensor.

    Description The A/C Pressure Transducer (APT) converts the pressure value of high-pressure line into voltage value after measuring it. By converted voltage value, engine ECU controls the cooling fan by operating it at high speed or low speed.
