Hyundai Genesis: Front Bumper / Front Bumper Cover Repair procedures

Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries. |

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |

When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface. |
| • |
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |

| 1. |
Remove the radiator grill upper cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine and Transmission assembly") |
| 2. |
Loosen the pin-type retainers and bolts of the front bumper upper.

| 3. |
Loosen the front bumper lower pin-type retainers. |
| 4. |
After loosening the pin-type retainers and screws on the side of front bumper (A) , detach the side part of front bumper.

Slightly lift up the side of the rear bumper and pull it out in the direction of arrow. |

Be careful not to damage the tabs on the side part of front bumper. |
|

Disconnect the front bumper main connector (A). 
|
| 6. |
Remove the front bumper cover (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the connector is connected properly. |
| • |
Replace any damaged pin-type retainers. |

When Driving
The ESC OFF mode should only be
used briefly to help free the vehicle if
stuck in snow or mud by temporarily
stopping operation of the ESC to
maintain wheel torque.
