Hyundai Genesis: Crash Pad / Steering Column Shroud Panel Repair procedures
[Steering Column Shroud Upper Panel]

Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries. |

• |
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |
• |
When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface. |
• |
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |
|

Lower the steering wheel. |
2. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the steering column shroud upper panel (A). 
|
3. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Replace any damage clips. |

Remove the crash pad upper panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |

Loosen the mounting screws by turning the steering wheel to
the left and right, and remove the steering column shroud lower panel
(A).

3. |
Disconnect the connector (A). 
|
4. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the connector is connected properly. |

Replace any damage clips. |

1. Turn the engine off.
2. Turn all other switches OFF.
3. Remove the fuse panel cover by
pressing the tap and pulling up.
4. Remove and check the suspected
fuse; replace it if it is blown. To
remove or insert the fuse, use the
fuse puller in the engine compartment
fuse panel.

Remove the nut (B) and clip (C).
2.
Remove the shift cable (A) assembly from the transmission.
Tightening torque :
12.7 ~ 15.7 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.6 lb-ft)
