| Replacement |
| 1. |
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. |
| 2. |
Remove the canister assembly.
(Refer to Evaporative Emission Control System - "Canister") |
| 3. |
Loosen the installing bolt (A). |
| 4. |
Remove the fuel tank air filter after disconnecting the vapor hose (B).

| 5. |
Remove the canister close valve from the fuel tank air filter.
(Refer to Engine Control System - "Canister Close Valve") |
| 6. |
Install a new fuel tank air filter. |
Description A ratchet tightening device on the threaded fuel filler cap reduces the chances of incorrect installation, which would seal the fuel filler.
