Hyundai Genesis: Engine Control System / Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) Repair procedures

Check the signal waveform of the CMPS and CKPS using the GDS.
Specification: Refer to “Wave Form”

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable. |
| 2. |
Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A). |
| 3. |
Remove the installation bolt (B), and then vertically remove the sensor from the transaxle housing.

Install the component with the specified torques. |

Note that internal damage may occur if the component drops. If the component drops, inspect it before installation. |

Insert the sensor in the installation hole and be careful not to damage during installation.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Crankshaft position sensor installation bolt:
6.9 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)
