Hyundai Genesis: Engine Control System / Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) Repair procedures

Inspection
1.
Connect the GDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC).
2.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
3.
Measure the output voltage of the APS 1 and 2 at C.T and W.O.T.

Specification: Refer to “Specification”

Removal
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2.
Disconnect the accelerator position sensor connector (A).
3.
Remove the mounting nut (C) after removing the top cap (B).
4.
Remove the mounting bolt (E) after removing the Lower cap (D).

Installation
1.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Accelerator pedal module installation bolt:
8.8 ~ 13.7 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 10.1 lb-ft)
