Description

System operation

HUD system displays various information on the windshield glass which minimizes the driver’s eye movement to enhance safety and convenience.
The Head Up Display reflects the TFT LCD images to two mirrors (flat/concave) and displays them 2.2m ahead from the driver's eye.

Safety warning lamp: SCC, LDWS, LFW, Blind Spot Warning

Vehicle Information
Warning Lamp, Speedometer, Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Turn-by-Turn Navigation, LDWS, BSD & LCA
Warning Lamp (6 warnings)
Pre-Safe Seatbelt (PSB), High Temp, Low Fuel, Oil Pressure, Battery Charge, Rear-Side Warning Lamps are displayed.

Windshield glass (Wedge film applied)
Windshield glass specialized for HUD must be used.
Special windshield glass must be replaced at the service center - the shape of the windshield glass and internal WEDGE Film affects the video display quality.
Please note that applying window tint film on the HUD specialized windshield glass may reduce the video display quality.

   
Tinting the windshield glass may lower the image quality.
Wearing the polarized sunglass may result in a distorted or darkened image.

Ambient Light Sensor
Ambient light sensor: The two-direction (horizontal, vertical) measuring sensor is applied and the HUD brightness is adjusted by the horizontal measurements.

If the ambient light sensor measurement is not recognized, the HUD does not work. Make sure that the sensor should work before checking the HUD.
